Dodik: The “non-paper” deepens the crisis

The non-paper introduced into diplomatic circulation by Germany and France shows that, in the 30 years since the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the leading EU countries have learned almost nothing about Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

Dodik emphasized that wrong assumptions have led to wrong conclusions, so the proposed measures for “overcoming” the crisis in BiH could not have been anything but wrong.

“Instead of directing energy and will toward a realistic assessment of the situation—its causes and consequences, and the devastation of an already fragile democratic capacity by international actors—Germany and France opted for shortcuts and force. Historically, neither has produced results in BiH,” Dodik stressed.

He pointed out that the non-paper only deepens the crisis.

“If comprehensive attention were truly dedicated to BiH, in the interest of BiH itself rather than for internal political gain, I am certain that solutions could be found through dialogue with domestic political representatives. This non-paper is nothing more than a deepening of the crisis, a waste of time and money, and yet another adventurist approach to BiH,” Dodik concluded.
