Alivitfarm, a domestic company from Republika Srpska, is participating in the major “Vitafoods” expo in Barcelona and is the only representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina at this global showcase of nutraceutical products and dietary supplements.
“Vitafoods Europe” is the leading international trade fair of its kind, bringing together professionals from the entire supply chain in the nutraceutical sector—from raw material producers and supplement manufacturers to finished products and equipment providers.
The innovative products of Alivitfarm, a company based in Ljubinje, attracted significant interest at the fair due to their unique formulations in dietary supplementation.
“Our supplements, produced at Alivitfarm, are based on the synergistic effects of medicinal herbs and fermented garlic. There are currently no similar products on the international market, making our brand a true innovation in dietary supplementation,” said Alivitfarm’s director, Stefan Šalvarica.
On the very first day of the fair, contacts were made with distributors from over 20 countries. Particularly notable is the high level of interest from distributors in Japan—the country where the process of garlic fermentation was first developed 50 years ago, the company stated.
Products manufactured at the facility in Ljubinje are already present on the markets of ten European and other countries, while the company’s management plans to make supplements produced in Republika Srpska available in 100 countries over the next five years.
“This is yet another confirmation that it is possible to develop a product with a high level of processing and applied technology in Republika Srpska. Years of investment in state-of-the-art equipment for processing medicinal herbs and garlic, the cultivation and development of high-quality raw materials, and the formulation of products in cooperation with eminent pharmacy experts have contributed to Alivitfarm’s current recognition—hence the strong interest at the expo in Barcelona,” added Šalvarica.
