Destinations from Republika Srpska soon to appear in Austrian TV series

Many lesser-known destinations around the world have been unveiled to millions of people thanks to popular films and series. Soon, Republika Srpska could join that list—through an Austrian TV series featuring one of the most famous German actors, Mark Keller.

The production team of the series visited Banja Luka today to make preliminary arrangements and scout filming locations.

The series, titled “Dark Forsis”, is a co-production between Austria, Spain, and Republika Srpska. The production company GM Media International sees this as a major opportunity for international promotion and economic development of the region. Local actors and extras are expected to participate.

“In addition to extras and actors, we are also working with local companies—not just for the technical side of production, but also for organization and logistics. The goal is direct cooperation with Republika Srpska,” said actor Max Fraizl.

Mark Keller, best known for his roles in “Alarm für Cobra 11” and “The Mountain Doctor”, expressed excitement about his new role and the opportunity to film in Republika Srpska.

“I’ll be playing an Interpol agent, and I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t reveal too many details yet, but I’m happy to be working with my friend Max, who’s the best James Bond stunt double in the world. The story is very exciting, especially with the new technology we’re using for filming,” said Keller.

Alexander Hofler, who was crowned Mr. Austria two years ago, will also star in the series. A molecular biologist and fitness trainer by profession, he described the role as a perfect fit:

“The role feels like it was written for me. I play a microbiologist and IT expert who can be a bit arrogant. I think I’ll handle it well and the character will be quite interesting,” said Hofler.

Producers have hinted that a Hollywood star will also appear in the series, though their identity remains a secret for now.

Filming is scheduled to begin in mid-June and will last two months. The series is set to be released on Netflix, making it accessible to audiences around the world.
