BiH is becoming a land of great contradictions, where, when figures such as former U.S. Ambassador Michael Murphy appear, long-term instability follows—which is precisely their goal, stated Željko Budimir, Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska.
Commenting on Murphy’s statements that “BiH is in the greatest political crisis since the war and that the authorities in Srpska are trying to dismantle the Dayton Peace Agreement and partition BiH,” Budimir responded that it was in fact the former U.S. ambassador who triggered the crisis in BiH and was the inspiration behind many of the problems.
“He stood behind many actions taken by the Bosniak side. He pushed the judiciary into proceedings against the President of Republika Srpska, literally pressured certain leaders in the Federation of BiH to take a hostile stance toward Srpska—and now he claims that Srpska and its leadership are to blame and are violating the Dayton Agreement,” Budimir emphasized.
