The Kastel Fortress once again shone in full splendor as a center of culture, history, and entertainment during the Night of Fortresses, in which Banja Luka participated as part of the international GIFTSnet project.
Numerous residents of Banja Luka, especially the youngest ones, gathered at Kastel and enjoyed a rich program that brought the spirit of past times to life while offering a vision of the future.
The program was designed for all generations.
The youngest tried their hand at the Little Archaeologists workshop, where they explored the secrets of ancient civilizations, while visitors of all ages had the opportunity to take part in a historical walk titled The fortress through the centuries.
The Knight Games, which revived the medieval spirit through fun and competition, drew particular attention.
The evening hours were completed with a musical program, turning Kastel once again into a place of gathering.
This year’s Night of Fortresses also carries a strong ecological message under the slogan Night of Fortresses Goes Green, emphasizing the importance of protecting our planet through the fusion of cultural heritage and contemporary values.
Through sound, play, and education, Kastel once again proved its priceless value—as a living witness to the past and an inspiration for the future.
