The documentary film “A New Broadway”, produced by Radio Television of Republika Srpska and the Down Syndrome Center from Banja Luka, will have its American premiere at the Down Syndrome Film Festival in California, attracting significant media attention.
To mark the occasion, the film’s author from Republika Srpska, Denis Bojić, appeared as a guest on California’s leading television station—News Channel 3, part of the ABC and FOX media group. He was joined by David Jelić, assistant director.
This event marks an important step in the international presentation of cultural content from Republika Srpska, reflecting growing international interest in domestic productions.
The film “A New Broadway” follows six individuals with Down syndrome who become the first students of an acting school of its kind in the region. Through an emotional and powerful story, the film promotes inclusion, art, and culture as strong tools for empowerment and equal participation in society.
The American premiere of this film represents a significant moment for the cultural scene of Republika Srpska, confirming that local stories can reach broad international audiences and find their voice on the global stage.
