Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, stated that the strong support for the veto once again confirmed that the National Assembly is fulfilling its role and is firmly committed to defending the interests of Republika Srpska.
Cvijanović emphasized that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska nullified the conclusion of the Presidency of BiH, which the two members from the Federation of BiH adopted by outvoting.
“Thank you to all members of parliament who supported the veto of the Serb member of the Presidency, both from the ruling coalition and the opposition,” Cvijanović wrote on Instagram following the special session of the National Assembly, during which her veto on the controversial conclusions by Presidency members Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić was upheld.
