American ballet troupe “Ballet Magnificat” performs The Prodigal’s Journey

The American ballet troupe Ballet Magnificat performed The Prodigal’s Journey on the Main Stage of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska. This was a humanitarian performance, with the proceeds donated to the “Protect Me” Center and the “Rada Vranješević” Home for Children and Youth Without Parental Care. The event was organized by the Educational and Cultural Center IHTUS.

A ballet about forgiveness, love, and hope, The Prodigal’s Journey captured the hearts of the Banja Luka audience. The evening was filled with emotion, and the performance carried a powerful humanitarian message.

“They chose to dedicate tonight’s ballet performance to supporting the ‘Rada Vranješević’ Home and the ‘Protect Me’ Center. In doing so, they demonstrated their great compassion and support for our city,” said Zorica Kuzmanović Vasilić, director of the “Protect Me” Center.

The message of the performance is strong and universal—a young man, in search of freedom, loses everything but returns home to find forgiveness and love. The Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska supported this humanitarian mission of art.

“The Ministry of Education and Culture certainly feels the need to support such initiatives. We truly welcome this event, and I believe we will all enjoy the ballet, while the funds will go where they are most needed,” said Željka Stojičić, Minister of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska.

The Ballet Magnificat troupe once again reminded us that art can be both dance and message—especially when it moves to the rhythm of humanity.
