Exhibition “Serbs in the Great Eastern Crisis (1875–1878)” opens in Banjaluka

To mark 150 years since the beginning of the Great Eastern Crisis, the Association of Historians of Republika Srpska “Milorad Ekmečić” is organizing the official opening of an exhibition titled “Serbs in the Great Eastern Crisis (1875–1878): 150 years since the beginning of the wars for liberation and unification.”

The exhibition will be opened on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the exhibition space on the second floor of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Banja Luka.

The authors of the exhibition, Prof. Dr. Borivoje Milošević and Assistant Professor Dr. Radovan Subić, will present the historical context and the role of the Serb people during the Great Eastern Crisis, as well as the broader context of the wars for national liberation and unification.

The exhibition is part of a broader program through which the “Milorad Ekmečić” Association will commemorate this important anniversary. The project is supported by the Office of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
