The final match of the Cup of Republika Srpska for women’s handball will be played on May 14 in the Borik Sports Hall in Banjaluka.
As previously announced, the battle for the trophy of the 29th edition of this prestigious competition will be between the players of Banjaluka’s Borac and the team from Derventa.
As a reminder, the “Wasps” defeated Knežopoljka 37:20 in the semi-finals, while the handball players from Derventa were more successful than Leotar, beating them 21:17.
The Handball Federation of Republika Srpska, led by President Marinko Umičević, has provided trophies and medals.
At the same time, it was decided that the prize fund would be increased by 1,000 convertible marks compared to the previous period.
This means that this year’s Cup winner will receive 4,000, and the runner-up 3,000 convertible marks.
All other expenses, such as refereeing, will also be covered by the Handball Federation of Republika Srpska.
So far, the most successful teams have been the handball players of Borac and Mira from Prijedor, with nine trophies each in their cabinets.
If they win, the Banjaluka team will become the absolute record holders in the Cup of Republika Srpska.
