Petronijević: Schmidt’s illegitimacy and the harm he caused to peace will soon be established

The illegitimacy, illegality, and destructive actions of Christian Schmidt, which have undermined peace in this region, will soon be established, stated Goran Petronijević, a lawyer on the legal team defending the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik. He added that Schmidt was also used as a tool to gain access to Serb property.

Petronijević emphasized that Schmidt’s actions represent a continuous undermining of peace, creating crisis situations that could escalate into conflict.

“Who will be held accountable for all that Schmidt has done? No one—because no one ever officially appointed him,” Petronijević underscored.

He pointed out that the outcome of the first-instance verdict against President Dodik had been known months in advance, as it was predetermined during meetings between Christian Schmidt and Michael Murphy. Judge Sena Uzunović merely had to read it aloud in court.

He also noted that the full intention behind using Schmidt to seize Serb property, discipline President Dodik and the leadership of Republika Srpska, and enforce silence and acceptance of imposed measures will soon come to light.

Petronijević stated that this will be revealed very soon due to the rise of sovereignty across the world and the decline of globalism.

“The UN Security Council is beginning to function. The disagreements that existed between the US, China, and Russia at the global level are gradually being resolved, and the Council is starting to operate in line with the principles and legal acts of the UN,” Petronijević told Glas Srpske.

He added that he does not expect anything positive from the appeal process against President Dodik, but that all legal avenues under domestic legislation must be exhausted in order to pursue justice before international courts.

Petronijević stressed that the attacks on Kosovo and Metohija, Republika Srpska, and Serbia are part of a coordinated and unified plan, and that the proceedings against the leadership of Srpska—particularly against President Milorad Dodik—are not personal, but rather attacks on institutions.

Regarding the health condition of Radovan Karadžić, the first president of Republika Srpska, and whether Serb doctors might be permitted to visit him or whether he could return to the hospital in Scheveningen, Petronijević said that efforts are underway, and that they have proposed forming a medical team to visit Karadžić in prison.
