The ballet performance “The Prodigal’s Journey” by the American ballet company Ballet Magnificat will be performed at the National Theatre of Republika Srpska (Main Stage) on May 13 at 7:00 PM.
Through dance, music, and expressive choreography, “The Prodigal’s Journey” delivers a powerful message about love and forgiveness. The performance is of a humanitarian character, with proceeds going to the Public Institution “Protect Me” Center and the Public Institution Home for Children and Youth Without Parental Care “Rada Vranješević”. The event is organized by the Educational and Cultural Center IHTUS.
This emotional and deeply inspiring production is set in a small town, where life is shaken when a young man leaves his beloved family in an ambitious attempt to find freedom and enjoyment. Heartbroken, his father struggles with forgiveness and longs for his son’s return. The journey, which the young man thought would bring him fulfillment, leads only to sorrow and regret. In despair, having reached the lowest point of his life, the lost son returns home—shocked to be welcomed with open arms and unconditional forgiveness from his father.
Ballet Magnificat was founded in 1986, based in Jackson, Mississippi, and performs over 200 shows annually around the world.
