Teatar Fest “Petar Kočić” from June 3 to 9 at the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, selection announced
This year’s Teatar Fest “Petar Kočić” will be held from June 3 to 9 at the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, with five plays from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region participating in the competition program.
According to the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, the selector of the Festival is actress Nataša Ivančević.
Out of 38 submitted plays, selector Nataša Ivančević has chosen for this year the following titles: “Wooden Birds” – writer Lidija Deduš, directed by Ivan Plazibat, a co-production of the Croatian National Theatre Varaždin and the Croatian National Theatre Zagreb; “Acid” – writer Asja Krsmanović, directed by Nermin Hamzagić, a co-production of the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica, the 23rd Festival of BH Drama “Zenica Spring 24,” and the MESS Sarajevo Scene; the play “Redemption” – based on the novel by Branimir Šćepanović, directed by Veljko Mićunović, produced by the Serb National Theatre Novi Sad; “The Reverse Side” – an original project by Boris Liješević, produced by the Montenegrin National Theatre Podgorica; and the play “Central Office for Humor” – writer Đorđe Kosić, directed by Olja Đorđević, produced by the National Theatre in Belgrade.
They also stated that the slogan of this year’s Teatar Fest “Petar Kočić” is – Beneath the Surface.
