Gradiška yesterday became the center of the regional economy with the opening of the 3rd International Fair of Economy, Agriculture, Tourism, Education, and Employment “Gradiška 2025.”
The event was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, who emphasized the importance of this event for Republika Srpska and its continuous growth year after year.
More than 100 exhibitors from regional countries and the European Union gathered in Gradiška to showcase their products and services. Minić highlighted that this year’s fair places a special focus on new technologies in the economy, with an emphasis on agriculture.
The Mayor of Gradiška, Zoran Adžić, expressed satisfaction that the fair has become a recognizable brand of the city and of Republika Srpska.
He pointed out that the fair presents an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs, agricultural producers, representatives of educational institutions, and tourism workers to meet and exchange experiences.
Adžić added that Gradiška is paying significant attention to the introduction of modern technologies in the economy and agriculture, and that the city’s high schools are educating a workforce needed in the labor market.
Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, stated that by organizing the International Fair of Economy, Agriculture, Tourism, Education, and Employment, Republika Srpska has proven that its economic development policies are recognized by other countries.
Košarac emphasized that Republika Srpska has a clear policy of openness toward all those willing to cooperate, and noted that the presence of representatives from Belarus—this year’s partner country—demonstrates that Srpska has friends on the international stage.
“The organization of events like this confirms that Republika Srpska has established itself internationally and that countries recognize its policies of economic development, which create opportunities for foreign investments,” Košarac told reporters in Gradiška.
Participants at the fair come from Germany, Hungary, Austria, Belarus, Slovenia, Serbia, Republika Srpska, and the Federation of BiH, showcasing their products and services across more than 5,000 square meters.
Belarus, the partner country of this year’s fair, will present the latest trends in agricultural machinery.
The official opening was also attended by Zlatan Klokić, Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska; Staša Košarac; representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Hungary; and numerous business representatives.
Visitors will have the opportunity, until Sunday, April 27, to view the outdoor exhibition of agricultural machinery in front of the “Arena” sports hall. A special segment of the fair is dedicated to education, with participation from faculties of the University of Banja Luka.
During the fair, professional panel discussions will also be held, addressing key issues of modern development and encouraging discussions on the application of new technologies for further economic advancement.
The International Fair “Gradiška 2025” once again confirms its role as a significant platform for fostering connections and promoting economic activities across the region.
