Serbs from the region express support for Republika Srpska and its leadership

Serbs from the region have expressed their full support for Republika Srpska and its leadership in preserving its institutions, as emphasized at the 21st Conference of Serb National Organizations from the region, held in Banja Luka. Participants stated that a high price has been paid for Republika Srpska, and that it is now everyone’s duty to protect it and fight for its survival.

Momčilo Vuksanović, President of the Managing Board of the Conference, stressed that the freedom of the Serb people was paid for in blood, and that it is therefore crucial to support the institutions and leadership of Republika Srpska in these times.

“It was important for us to come to Banja Luka and support the institutions of Republika Srpska. We stand united at all times with our brothers from Republika Srpska and Serbia,” said Vuksanović.

He noted that the main goal of the Conference is the unity of the Serb people, recalling that the Conference brings together organizations from Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro.

“As part of our activities, we will adopt a Declaration. That is something we can contribute to this complex situation and to the struggle of the institutions and leadership of Srpska in preserving what was built with blood on this land,” Vuksanović added.

Stevan Medić, President of the Association of the Founders of Republika Srpska, emphasized the necessity and duty to support the leadership of Republika Srpska, stating that, just like 35 years ago, Serb unity is needed today.

“That is what Republika Srpska lacks. We are here to send a request or an appeal. No one has the right to betray Republika Srpska. No one can desecrate what we built with blood,” said Medić.

He added that Republika Srpska is still fighting for its survival and affirmed that the Association will contribute to its preservation and strengthening.

“We will pass on to future generations that Republika Srpska is a vow. No one can trade it away. We all must defend Republika Srpska. In its defense, there must be no division between government and opposition. We demand that all political parties be united and determined to protect Republika Srpska,” Medić declared.

The conference in Banja Luka is attended by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić.
