The President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, emphasized that Srpska has chosen peace, dialogue, and negotiations as the way out of the deep crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“To the hotheads in Sarajevo, whose reasoning has been clouded by the idea of war and the lawlessness promoted by Christian Schmidt, it must be absolutely clear that no armed agency from the Federation of BiH is allowed to cross the inter-entity boundary line, as this is prohibited by the Dayton Agreement — and EUFOR should stop them and return them to the Federation,” Stevandić wrote on X, adding that by doing so, EUFOR preserves peace and the Dayton Agreement, which is its mandate.
According to him, no one from Srpska, no police agency, and no armed personnel have any intention of crossing into the Federation.
“If an armed agency from the Federation of BiH were to cross the inter-entity boundary line into Republika Srpska and EUFOR failed to respond, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska would — as would all citizens,” Stevandić stated, adding: “Anyone who does not understand this is either a complete idiot or is trying to provoke a war.”
