The TrotoArt street performers festival will take place from June 9 to 15, 2025, on the sidewalks, promenades, and small parks of Banja Luka, the Festival Project Team has announced.
In this regard, a public call has been issued to all street performers — as well as those who aspire to become ones — to apply for participation in this unique event that brings together artists of cheerful spirit, capable of stopping random passersby and captivating audiences of all generations with their voice, movement, color, and sound.
Organizers emphasize that all artists and groups are welcome — regardless of gender, age, skills, or professional/amateur status. Particularly encouraged to apply are musicians, singers, actors, performers, dancers, painters, animators, and other creatives.
Applications are open until April 27, 2025, and should be submitted via email to: trotoart.bl@gmail.com. The application should include the following:
– Full name of the performer
– Name of the group or act and number of members
– A brief description (how long you’ve been active, type of performance, etc.)
– Type of performance (concert, performance, etc.)
– At least one performance photo (recommended)
Based on the received applications, the Project Team will select participants and compile the official festival program.
Although most performance slots will be reserved for participants from Banja Luka and the surrounding areas due to logistical and financial considerations, a number of spots will be open to guests from other parts of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the region.
TrotoArt is part of the Banja Luka Spring 2025 event series. It was first held in 2022 with the goal of gathering artists who enrich the city’s cultural life through talent and dedication.
In 2023, the Festival’s goals expanded to include the development of a regional platform for art — a place of encounter, collaboration, and dialogue between artists and their audiences.
