The Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Turkey, is definitely an important venue and a good place to exchange opinions and ideas, said Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a statement for RTRS.
“You also get to hear, of course, the positions of major powers and individual countries on certain global or regional issues. And naturally, it is always an opportunity to present your own views, whether through bilateral meetings or participation in various panels,” Cvijanović stated.
She emphasized that there is clear interest in what is happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The very fact that we were invited shows that there is interest in what is happening within Bosnia and Herzegovina. And of course, as the Serb member of the Presidency and currently the Chairwoman, I will have the opportunity to present the views of Republika Srpska,” she highlighted.
She added that she doesn’t expect any major surprises.
“Whether there will be some offensive or not, what we’ve become used to is the absolute abuse of institutions and positions by our Bosniak colleagues. That is something we are already used to, but it has never stopped us from stating our position and perspective on any development within Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the region, or elsewhere.”
“My position is my own, and this will be another opportunity to show how differently we actually perceive issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina and other matters. Bosnia and Herzegovina is not the only area of disagreement—there are many other topics in our region, and even more broadly, where we don’t share the same views,” Cvijanović concluded.
