Interpol rejects unconstitutional BiH Court’s request for red notice against Dodik and Stevandić

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik announced that he received information from Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić confirming that Interpol has rejected the request made by the unconstitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the issuance of a red notice against him and National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić.

“President Vučić just called me to inform me that he received official notification from the Interpol Directorate stating that Serbia’s appeal has been upheld, and that Interpol has rejected the Court of BiH’s request for a red notice against Stevandić and myself,” Dodik stated on the social media platform X.

Dodik thanked Vučić for his support and for his clear and principled communication with Interpol.

“I also extend my gratitude to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, as well as to the presidents of all other countries that submitted objections, recognizing the political background of the judicial persecution to which I am being subjected,” Dodik added.

Interpol clarified that the request was rejected on the basis of Article 3 of its Constitution, which prohibits the organization from engaging in any activities of a political, military, religious, or racial character—including politically motivated prosecutions.
