Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ambassador to France, Bojana Kondić Panić, told RTRS that the conviction of Marine Le Pen has sparked numerous reactions both in France and around the world.
“Le Pen expressed her discontent and stated that this is a political process. She said it represents a defeat for democracy in France,” Kondić Panić noted.
Jordan Bardella, President of the National Rally, called on the French people to resist peacefully and with dignity.
“He urged citizens to sign a petition,” Kondić Panić added.
Marine Le Pen also stated that the goal of the verdict is to prevent her from running in the next presidential election.
“She emphasized that she will fight with all means so that in 2027 the French people will be able to vote for the candidate of their choice—and that no one can take that right away from them. She said that in the end, justice and truth will prevail,” Kondić Panić recalled.
