Luka Trifunović, member of the Jiu-Jitsu Club “Jahorina” and representative of Republika Srpska, won the bronze medal in the U18 -77 kg category at the European Championship held in Larnaca.
Luka had an excellent start to the championship, defeating the Austrian representative with a full ippon (50:0). In the second round, he lost to the Romanian competitor, also by full ippon (50:0).
Through the repechage rounds, Luka defeated representatives of Ukraine, Spain, Montenegro, Slovenia, and the Netherlands — all with full ippons (50:0) — clearly demonstrating his outstanding quality.
“We congratulate him on this exceptional result, and we expect many more great achievements at official competitions. Luka, we know very well what it means to take the harder path — and that is our path, the path of warriors,” the club stated.
