As long as the Serb people are united, no one will ever conquer them—neither with bombs nor with blackmail, said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
“Today we remember the terrifying moments when NATO, without the authorization of the UN Security Council, began its brutal aggression against Serbia and the Serb people. They bombed us for 78 days. They killed children, destroyed hospitals, schools, bridges, and railways. They didn’t choose military targets—they chose the people,” stated the President of Republika Srpska to SRNA on the anniversary of the NATO bombing.
He recalled that during the horrific NATO bombing, Ristan, Milica, Bojana, and thousands of other innocent people were killed—only because they were Serbs and dared to be free.
“Even today I ask myself—how are they not ashamed? How can they speak about democracy, justice, and freedom 25 years later? And even worse—how can they even think of inviting us to join them? To become part of that criminal alliance that dropped bombs on our children?” Dodik asked.
He emphasized that the Serb people remember and do not forget their victims, but they do not trade in them.
“We will never forget Ristan, Milica, or Bojana. Our resistance is not hatred. Our resistance is a vow—to be free. To be our own. To be united,” the President of Republika Srpska underscored, adding that this is why Republika Srpska today stands as a pillar of freedom and pride for the Serb people.
“It is our duty to preserve, build, and defend Srpska as a vow to all those who fell for its creation and existence. In that remembrance, in that pain, but also in our unity lies the strength of the Serb people,” the president concluded.
