Kondić Panić: Visit of French MPs to Republika Srpska highly important

The visit of French Members of the European Parliament, Thierry Mariani and Pascal Piere, to Republika Srpska yesterday is highly significant, stated Bojana Kondić Panić, BiH Ambassador to France.

She emphasized that right-wing parties are gaining strength throughout Europe, and these parties have a better understanding of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, making their voice particularly important.

“Right-wing parties have strengthened their position in the French Parliament and are openly critical of EU policy. The actions of foreign officials in BiH, such as high representatives acting as the ‘deciding authority,’ are unacceptable,” Kondić Panić said during an appearance on the morning program of our television.

She added that French society is heterogeneous and divided.

Speaking about the open letter sent by BiH ambassadors and consuls from Republika Srpska to BiH Presidency members Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, she stressed that ambassadors representing the Serb people are performing their duties professionally, conscientiously, and responsibly.

“We unanimously signed the open letter calling for respect for the Dayton Agreement. We would like to see how Bosniak politicians respect the Dayton Peace Agreement—let them show us by example,” Kondić Panić noted.

To recall, ambassadors and consuls of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Republika Srpska addressed an open letter to Presidency members Komšić and Bećirović after their correspondence sent to all heads of diplomatic and consular missions, in which they called on them to act in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Constitution of BiH, and other laws and regulations.
