Republika Srpska is acting constitutionally and has clearly explained its positions to its friends, said President Milorad Dodik after meeting with French Members of the European Parliament, Pascal Piquet and Thierry Mariani.
Dodik expressed gratitude to the MEPs for understanding the current situation.
“Srpska has the right to make decisions. Bosnia and Herzegovina does not. BiH does not have the right to possess armed forces, SIPA, a judiciary, a prosecutor’s office, or an intelligence agency. The current composition of the crippled Constitutional Court is unconstitutional, and they are acting outside the Constitution,” Dodik stated at a press conference.
He reminded that judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH are over 70 years old, which he described as illegal and unconstitutional.
“They make unconstitutional rulings, and there were no consultations within the BiH Presidency for appointing three foreign judges. There are no Serb representatives, which proves that this court is a caricature,” he added.
Dodik emphasized that the opposition lacks democratic legitimacy to represent Republika Srpska in BiH institutions.
“The opposition has chosen their country, and it is called Bosnia and Herzegovina. They have renounced Republika Srpska,” he said.
According to Dodik, there is an ongoing effort to “legalize chaos” caused by globalist forces—specifically, the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden and the Brussels administration.
He said it is important that the situation in BiH is understood by French MEPs.
“We are not asking them to take our side exclusively, but to properly inform the public in their country and across Europe,” Dodik explained.
“Globalists want to declare constitutional and legal only what they themselves dictate. That is not in accordance with the Constitution of BiH. We will continue to show our friends that we are legalists, that we stand by the Constitution and international law. We cannot accept those who violate the Constitution,” he added.
Dodik reiterated that the situation in Republika Srpska is stable and that the policies of the National Assembly are being implemented.
“That means we do not accept the jurisdiction of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, the Court, the Prosecutor’s Office, or SIPA within the territory of Republika Srpska. We are moving forward with establishing institutions that will protect our constitutional order, including dealing with members of SIPA and others who act outside the law,” Dodik concluded.
