“We will do everything to reveal the real truth and express our support for the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik,” said French Member of the European Parliament Pascal Piero after her meeting with the president of Republika Srpska.
She stated that the violation of rights occurring toward Republika Srpska is absolutely unacceptable.
“The situation is truly difficult and uncomfortable, and the leadership of Srpska is trying to find a solution,” Piero said at the press conference.
She added that she learned what Republika Srpska has had to endure over the past 30 years since the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, describing it as absolutely contrary to international law.
According to her, fundamental European law gives every people the right to fight for themselves and determine their own future, while respecting law and the constitution.
“I believe that the violation of rights currently happening to Republika Srpska by the other side is absolutely unacceptable. That is why we came to express support for the president and to show that we stand by him and everything he is doing,” Piero emphasized.
She concluded by saying that she and her colleagues will do everything they can to uncover the truth and assist the president of Srpska on that path.
