Panenka: Sarajevo is trying to dismantle Dayton

In an exclusive interview with ATV, Czech journalist and writer Radim Panenka spoke about geopolitics, Serbs, and his perspective on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“What is happening now due to the behavior of Sarajevo, or rather, the officials in Sarajevo, is, in my opinion, threatening peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I believe that Sarajevo is attempting to dismantle the Dayton Peace Agreement and create a unitary state—essentially dismantling Republika Srpska. I hope that the leadership of Republika Srpska, led by President Milorad Dodik, will succeed in defending the fundamental human, national, and civil rights of the Serb people,” Panenka stated.

He added that there are many politicians in the Czech Republic who support the rights of the Serb people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and advocate for the respect of international law.

“Unfortunately, they are not currently in power, but we are waiting for the elections, and I hope the situation will change so that we will have politicians who uphold international law. The current politicians in power in the Czech Republic speak a lot about international law—but only when it concerns Ukraine. However, when it comes to Serbia, international law seems not to exist,” he concluded.
