Versatility and timelessness of Momo Kapor’s literary and artistic work

The Faculty of Philosophy at the University of East Sarajevo organized a roundtable dedicated to the life and work of Momo Kapor. The skill and ease of this remarkable writer were discussed by author Muharem Bazdulj, as well as professors from the University of East Sarajevo.

The students and professors of the Faculty of Philosophy, as guardians of Momo Kapor’s Sarajevo address, have been commemorating the versatility and timelessness of his literary and artistic legacy for the second year in a row.

Even today, Kapor remains engaging and intriguing, especially for younger generations, as he offers them an immediate insight into a world they could not have witnessed firsthand.

The author of around forty prose works and thirty plays was once unfairly labeled as a light writer—far from the truth. Kapor himself used to say that many never reached the essence of his works, which he described as bitterness wrapped in chocolate.

Momo Kapor passed away a decade and a half ago, yet what he left behind has outlived not only the creator himself but will endure as a universal value for generations to come.
