“I will not go to Sarajevo, and I call on all citizens who have supported me in front of the Court of BiH over the past year to gather in front of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska on Wednesday,” stated Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska.
Dodik announced that he will not attend the verdict announcement scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, at the Court of BiH in Sarajevo.
“I will not go, and I do not have to. No one obliges me to. The days of political persecution should be long gone. We will try to talk until exhaustion, but if that does not work, we have a Plan B,” Dodik added.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska will act strictly in accordance with the Constitution.
“Our first goal is to defend the Constitution of BiH, to call on the Federation of BiH to negotiate and restore it to the original Dayton Constitution. If they refuse, we will have to make decisions,” said Dodik.
He added that in such a case, Republika Srpska will declare that the BiH Constitution has failed, arguing that it has been dismantled by those who accept laws being adopted unconstitutionally. According to the Constitution, only the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has the authority to pass laws.
“How is it possible for someone to amend a law without following the legal procedure? If you allow this to collapse, then you have allowed everything else to fall apart,” Dodik stated.
Today, Dodik attended the Electoral Conference of the Banja Luka City Committee of SNSD, where Vlado Đajić was re-elected as the president of the committee.
