“Kestenburg” opens its doors to poetry

As part of the prestigious “Kestenburg” Student Theater Festival, a special event titled “An Evening of Banja Luka’s Poetesses” will take place on March 7 at the Milanović House.

This unique cultural event, held for the first time, will bring together talented poetesses from Banja Luka, captivating the audience with their verses.

The initiative for organizing this event was proposed by Nebojša Drinić, a councilor in the Banja Luka City Assembly, and the entire project has been supported by Neda Simić Žerajić, festival program editor of Kestenburg.

A preparatory meeting for the event was held at City Hall, gathering the participating poetesses: Ljiljana Mačkić, Aleksandra Čvorović, Neda Gavrić, Gordana Kukić, and Selena Berić.

This exceptional cultural gathering is expected to attract poetry lovers, offering them the chance to experience the rich and diverse creative work of Banja Luka’s poetesses. Each participant brings her own unique poetic expression, which will undoubtedly move the audience and leave a lasting impression.

“An Evening of Banja Luka’s Poetesses” promises to be an emotional, inspiring, and unforgettable experience for all attendees. The event aims to highlight the richness of Banja Luka’s cultural scene and support the creative work of local artists.

The sixth edition of the International Student Theater Festival “Kestenburg” will officially open on March 6 at 12:00 PM at the Milanović House in Banja Luka. A total of 63 students will perform in 10 competitive plays, representing three continents – Asia, Europe, and North America.

This year’s host cities include Banja Luka, Bijeljina, Bileća, Gradiška, Derventa, and East Sarajevo, with 33 festival programs available to audiences until March 8.
