Students of the “Konstantin Babić” Elementary and Secondary Music School in Prnjavor won 100 awards over the past year. On the occasion of the school’s anniversary, a ceremony was held this evening to honor the most successful students and teachers.

The school’s director, Tina Raković, stated for Srna that 81 school recognitions were presented at the event.

  • “Our students and teachers achieved outstanding results last school year, winning 97 awards and three laureate titles. To mark the school’s anniversary, we presented awards to 63 students and 18 teachers,” she explained.

Currently, the elementary and secondary music school in Prnjavor has around 250 students enrolled.

  • “We are pleased with the number of students. Interest in the Music School is growing every year, and we hope that in the next school year, there will be enough children to enroll,” Raković told Srna.

Young talents excelling in music

Matea Simić, a fourth-grade student in the elementary Music School, plays the piano. Thanks to her dedication, perseverance, and constant practice, she has achieved remarkable results in various competitions.

This talented young girl says that her love for piano music motivates her to learn, and she is drawn to the instrument because of its beautiful harmony.

Pavle Topić, a second-grade student, has chosen the accordion as his instrument. He enjoys the school primarily for the friendships he builds and the opportunity to improve his skills, learn new techniques, and master new compositions.

Recognition from the local government

The concert marking the school’s anniversary was attended by Prnjavor Mayor Darko Tomaš, who expressed his pride in the achievements of both students and teachers.

  • “The Music School attracts students from other municipalities as well. They do their job in the best possible way, which is why they will continue to have the full support of the City Administration,” said Tomaš.
