The Mayor of Laktaši, Miroslav Bojić, has stated that property belongs to the entities, as defined by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Peace Agreement, emphasizing that the imposition of any law on this matter would only worsen relations within BiH.
Regarding the call from the newly formed Council of SDA mayors and municipal heads urging Christian Schmidt to impose a law on state property, Bojić stressed that Republika Srpska and its local communities manage their own assets and resources.
He pointed out that SDA officials should focus on addressing everyday issues affecting their citizens, which, as he noted, are serious and complex everywhere, instead of engaging in political actions that harm both their own population and the broader community.
- “The imposition of any law, especially one of this nature, will only lead to further deterioration of relations in BiH,” Bojić concluded.
