First names announced for this year’s “Jelen OK Fest”

Nik West, Dubioza Kolektiv, Let 3, Marko Louis, and Hiljson Mandela are the first confirmed performers for the 11th edition of Jelen OK Fest, which will take place from July 18 to 20 at the well-known location of Tjentište, in Sutjeska National Park.

Explosive stage presence is not enough to describe the way Nik West moves, captivates, and shocks audiences wherever she performs. Her impressive biography includes collaborations with Quincy Jones Productions, Prince, Glee, John Mayer, Macy Gray, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, and many other top musicians. Rolling Stone has named her the “bass icon of this generation.” In addition to being a renowned bassist, Nik West is also a talented singer and songwriter. Her unique style is as distinct as a fingerprint, her performances are always energetic and unpredictable, and she is instantly recognizable by her signature bass-clef-shaped hairstyle. Her bass lines pulse like a heartbeat, luring the audience into dance, but she is not just about the bass—her vocals take listeners on an emotional journey.

Dubioza Kolektiv, one of the most popular bands in the region, has long been making a name for itself on the international music scene. The band’s distinctive energy, lyrics, and music blend ska, punk, reggae, electronic, and hip-hop influences with Balkan tones. Their popularity extends beyond the region, with European and global audiences recognizing them as a “must-see live act.” Wherever they perform, their concerts are in high demand, and their signature energy electrifies crowds from the first beat to the last. This year’s Jelen OK Fest promises to be no exception.

Let 3, the alternative rock band from Rijeka, has been active for over 40 years. Known for their distinctive stage costumes, humor, and unpredictable performances, the band describes itself as an “attraction for all senses.” Their artistic expression aims to provoke thought and encourage audiences to reflect on themselves and their surroundings in the pursuit of greater freedom and self-improvement.

Marko Louis is often described as a fusion of Balkan soul with elements of Afro culture and rhythms associated with hip-hop. A well-known regional singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Marko Louis has released several studio albums and built a strong reputation for his unique live performances. His concerts leave audiences with the impression that they have experienced something entirely new.

He has collaborated with many prominent regional musicians and recently released a new song, “Ne pitaj”, with the talented young artist Tiadora. The first part of his new album is already available, and the full release is expected by the end of June, meaning fans at Tjentište will enjoy both fresh tracks and his well-known hits.

Hiljson Mandela, one of the pioneers of trap music in the region, had a breakout year in 2022 when he released his first solo album, Mandela Effect. The album quickly dominated music streaming platforms, with singles like “McLaren”, “Cura s kvarta”, and “Još ovu noć” racking up millions of plays. His performance at Tjentište will mark his debut at Jelen OK Fest.

With the announcement of these first performers, Jelen OK Fest 2025 promises three days of top-tier concerts and an unforgettable experience from July 18 to 20. The festival campsite will open a day earlier, on Thursday, July 17. A package including festival tickets and campsite accommodation is already available through regional ticketing platforms. More information and direct ticket purchase links can be found on the official OK Fest website.
