Višković: Republika Srpska remains committed to achieving sustainable development goals

Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković emphasized during a meeting with Renaud Meyer, the newly appointed Resident Representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP), that Republika Srpska remains deeply committed to achieving sustainable development goals.

Višković noted that fulfilling these goals, in cooperation with UNDP, involves addressing challenges in various critical areas for citizens’ well-being.

During the meeting in Banja Luka, Višković thanked UNDP for numerous projects implemented in Republika Srpska and expressed readiness to continue successful cooperation, as stated by the Government’s Public Relations Bureau.

Višković highlighted that numerous significant projects have been implemented in cooperation with UNDP in recent years, particularly in water supply. He underscored the need to focus more on developing projects related to waste management and improving energy efficiency in the future.

Meyer pointed out that the issue of green transition is one of the key priorities in the process of achieving sustainable development goals. He invited representatives of the Republika Srpska Government to actively participate in consultations regarding the upcoming five-year plan, which will outline activities within the UN-BiH partnership until 2030.
