The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, stated that there is no reason not to restart the trial of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and acting director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, as procedural violations have occurred, disadvantaging the defendants.
“The court must adhere to the Criminal Procedure Code. There are established deadlines, and it is clear when the trial should start over,” Minić said.
He recalled that Dodik and Lukić are being tried under a law that has not been passed in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, describing the entire process as farcical.
- “This is not insignificant. We are aware of projections indicating that their sole aim is to convict President Milorad Dodik and acting director Miloš Lukić, applying protective measures to remove the President of Republika Srpska from the political scene,” Minić noted.
The main hearing in the case against President Milorad Dodik and acting director Miloš Lukić for “disrespecting the decisions of Christian Schmidt” is scheduled for tomorrow at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The defense has requested that the trial be restarted due to a violation of the 30-day deadline since the last hearing. According to procedural rules, if this period elapses without agreement from all parties, the evidence must be reintroduced from the beginning.
