The Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Aleksandar Goganović, met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Kalabukhov, at the Administrative Center of Republika Srpska in East Sarajevo to discuss relations between Republika Srpska and Russia.
Goganović told Srna that the meeting concluded that relations between the two entities are at a high level, as evidenced by the frequent meetings between representatives of Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation.
“The discussion also covered current socio-political topics, and it was mutually agreed that adherence to the Dayton Peace Agreement is the key to stability and prosperity for Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Goganović emphasized.
He noted that the meeting reaffirmed the importance of ensuring that all decisions in Bosnia and Herzegovina are made in accordance with agreements between the two entities and the three constituent peoples, as defined by the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Goganović added that they also discussed joint activities to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory Day over fascism.
“The meeting highlighted Russia’s crucial role and the significant contribution of the Serb people to the liberation of Europe from Nazism,” Goganović said.
