President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik anticipates that the U.S. sanctions against him will be revisited, emphasizing that President Donald Trump’s statements suggest an intention to reverse such harmful practices. Dodik highlighted numerous interactions with the new administration in this context.

Dodik noted that the U.S. sanctions imposed on him during former President Joseph Biden’s administration were politically motivated and expressed confidence that this issue will eventually be addressed.
- “Given the current framework, I believe Trump will attempt to rectify the situation and start addressing the legacy and criminal past of Biden’s administration and its people,” Dodik said in an interview with Tanjug Television.
He acknowledged the existence of formal legal procedures that are not solely dependent on the president’s will.
Dodik pointed out ongoing efforts by Republika Srpska to reestablish and develop contacts with the Trump administration.
“It’s not bad. That’s all I can say for now,” stated Dodik.
He recalled that Trump and his associates have criticized Biden’s administration as the worst in U.S. history, claiming it has caused significant harm to America itself.
