“Srpska to adopt law on NGOs”

“Srpska to adopt law on NGOs”

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, announced today that Republika Srpska will adopt a law on non-governmental organizations (NGOs), asserting that the new U.S. policy confirms the correctness of Srpska’s initiative two years ago to regulate this sector.

  • “What (U.S. President Donald), Trump has done gives us the opportunity to finalize this process. I believe that the law on NGOs will be presented at the next session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. This allows us to draft a law closely aligned with U.S. legislation, without the concessions we were willing to include in the previous proposal. It will enforce strict oversight,” Dodik stated.

Dodik explained that the legislation will define the status of foreign agents for all entities receiving funds from foreign governments to undermine Republika Srpska.

  • “We have already requested additional lists of those in Srpska who received such funds in the past so we can monitor them more closely. This is not about persecution, but simply introducing order,” Dodik emphasized at a press conference in Banja Luka.

Support for Trump’s policies

Dodik expressed support for Trump’s decision to freeze U.S. foreign aid, as well as several other aspects of his policy.

  • “I support much of his agenda, including the proposal to annex Greenland to the U.S. I believe the people living there would have a better life as part of America, but that’s their matter. This could also facilitate agreements on Ukraine. It would be logical in such a case for them to agree that Russia resolves the situation in Ukraine in line with its interests. Taiwan, in any case, belongs to China. Such developments would rehabilitate the world, creating a world of peace. From what I understand, Trump seeks peace,” Dodik remarked.
