The Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, stated that he is honored to attend the inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States. Klokić expressed his belief that Trump will guide the world into a calmer phase and attempt to correct many mistakes made by his predecessor.
“As for our expectations, we anticipate that with Trump, colonialism and the protectorate in Bosnia and Herzegovina will finally come to an end, and the Dayton principles and Constitution, which were created with U.S. support, will be respected,” Klokić told Srna.
He noted that he expects objective facts about the situation in BiH to finally reach Washington, unlike the current subjective and biased reports from the U.S. ambassador in BiH. This, he added, would enable everyone to move forward without foreign interference in domestic politics and processes.
Klokić expressed pride in the opportunity to represent the institutions and citizens of Republika Srpska in Washington alongside other members of the delegation.
“This is a significant and important event and an opportunity to engage in discussions with key individuals who will be part of the new U.S. administration,” said Klokić.
He emphasized that the new Republican administration is being welcomed by Republika Srpska with the hope that the support and sentiment of the Serb people toward Trump will be recognized. Klokić described Trump as someone who will bring the world into a calmer phase and strive to correct the many mistakes of his predecessor.
The delegation from Republika Srpska attending the inauguration includes, in addition to Klokić, the President’s advisors Marko Romić and Siniša Mihailović, as well as the Head of Srpska’s Representative Office in Vienna, Mladen Filipović.
