Tanja Stupar Trifunović’s novel shortlisted for “Belgrade Victor”

The novel “A Bird Flies Along the Edge of a Sharp Knife” by Banja Luka author Tanja Stupar Trifunović has been shortlisted for the “Belgrade Victor” award for the best novel published in 2024, the award committee announced.

In addition to Trifunović, the shortlist includes:

  • “Flogging” by Jovica Aćin,
  • “I Wander Dead Through the World” by Borivoje Gerzić,
  • “Martin’s Share” by Sanja Savić Milosavljević, and
  • “Ballads of the Dreadful Harmony” by Aleksandar Šurbatović.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday, January 21, at the Belgrade City Library.

Trifunović’s “A Bird Flies Along the Edge of a Sharp Knife” and Gerzić’s “I Wander Dead Through the World” are also in the running for the prestigious NIN Award.

The decision on the 71st NIN Award laureate will be made on January 27, Saint Sava’s Day.
