“I listen and can’t believe it—Schmidt wants something again, even though it’s none of his business,” wrote Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik on his X account.
Dodik questioned, “What does Schmidt have to do with European integration, and who cares about his opinion on it?”
- “Aside from embarrassing himself by not even knowing the date of Europe Day, he has revealed how much he prioritizes maintaining Bosnia and Herzegovina’s colonial status. If Schmidt had even a shred of decency, he would refrain from humiliating an entire continent by meddling in matters that are absolutely none of his concern,” emphasized Dodik.
Criticism of Schmidt’s actions
Dodik noted that Schmidt has “overstepped and outplayed himself, scoring own goals for the EU.”
- “It’s precisely because of such antics that the European path is impossible—protectorates and Europe simply don’t go together. As long as the EU doesn’t distance itself from the behavior of this loser, it shows they are completely insincere towards us. When the EU condemns Schmidt’s actions, they’ll demonstrate that they see us as a partner. Only then will discussions make sense. Until then, standby,” Dodik concluded.
