Leotar handball players promise: Spring will be even better

The handball players of Leotar aim to deliver even better performances and achieve higher-quality results in the second half of the BiH championship, said coach Dragiša Koraćević.

Leotar has already begun preparations for the continuation of the season, and the coaching staff is relieved by the fact that the team remains unchanged, with all players staying together.

“The players had a short 15-day break and are all healthy and eager to work. We are already training intensively, and keeping the team intact is a huge advantage. This means we don’t need to focus on building team chemistry but can instead work on correcting the mistakes we made in the first half. I expect the team to show additional progress and perform even better in the second half since we’ll have fewer matches compared to the autumn season, allowing us to train more effectively,” said Koraćević.

Aiming for the top

The Trebinje club’s goal is to remain at the forefront of handball.

“Our primary goal is to improve and play better. There is no specific pressure regarding our final standings, but we enter every match aiming to win. The atmosphere in the team is excellent. Everyone in the club—from the management and coaches to the players and fans—is aligned, and we aim to make progress every year. The goal is to stay at the top and reach the finals in cup competitions. In cups, it’s a single match, so anything is possible. Nothing is mandatory, but it’s only natural to hope for good results,” Koraćević added.

Leotar’s first official match will be on February 8 against Bosna.
