The Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, stated that every step Bosnia and Herzegovina has made toward the EU has been achieved through the efforts of the institutions of Republika Srpska and its representatives at the joint level. He emphasized that ensuring the clear visibility of Republika Srpska in this process is imperative.
Košarac explained that the policies of Republika Srpska and its president, Milorad Dodik, are directed toward the European path, with a strong focus on preserving the visibility of Srpska, respecting constitutional competencies, and implementing the coordination mechanism.
“Without the consent of Srpska, there would be no progress on the European path. This is clear to the Minister of Communications and Transport, Edin Forto, and all Bosniak political representatives. However, this does not prevent them from spreading falsehoods and accusing Srpska of so-called blockades,” said Košarac.
He highlighted that Sarajevo remains silent on the real blockages occurring within the Federation of BiH due to the inability of the “troika” and SDA to reach an agreement on the Growth Plan.
Košarac urged them to focus on resolving issues within the Federation if they genuinely wish to continue on the European path, rather than unjustly shifting the responsibility onto Republika Srpska.
“Their thoughts and desires to change partners in government are neither our concern nor our burden. Our priority is safeguarding the capacities of Srpska and its visibility in the European integration process,” Košarac wrote on Instagram.
He emphasized that their unwavering commitment remains to preserving the Dayton-defined capacities of Srpska, its constitutional competencies, and the application of the coordination mechanism.
“Let them find others who oppose Dayton, constitutional competencies, and the coordination mechanism, and play games with them. With SNSD and our coalition partners, there will be no games,” Košarac concluded.
