Vulin in Banja Luka: This is a gathering of free people

Senator of Republika Srpska and Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin stated that Republika Srpska Day is not just a holiday for Srpska but a celebration for all Serbs.

  • This is not the holiday of just one part of the Serbian people; it is the holiday of all Serbs, wherever they live – Vulin emphasized in his speech at the ceremonial parade in Banja Luka, marking January 9, Republika Srpska Day.

He stressed that Republika Srpska is proud and free, which is why attempts are made to undermine it.

  • That’s why they attack every Serbian value, in Serbia, in Srpska, and wherever Serbs are – Vulin stated.

A result of the Serb struggle

Vulin emphasized that Republika Srpska was not created by the will of foreigners but through the struggle of the Serb people, wherever they may live.

  • Brothers and sisters, only in unity and solidarity do we find hope, strength, and the right to believe and hope for a long and prosperous future. To those in Sarajevo writing notes and forbidding us to come among our own people—Republika Srpska was not granted by the Sultan’s firman for you to interpret the will of the Padişah. You are not viziers, beys, or aghas to tell us what to do, how to pray to God, and what to celebrate. This is not a gathering of subjects but a gathering of free people. Bosnia and Herzegovina is not the guarantor of Republika Srpska; Serbia is the guardian of the internationally recognized Dayton Agreement – Vulin declared.

Serbia as the guardian of Srpska

Vulin reiterated that Serbia is the protector of the Dayton Agreement and everything that constitutes Republika Srpska.

  • Protect Srpska because there is no Dayton without Srpska, and there is no BiH without Dayton. Protect Srpska as Serbia protects Dayton and peace. Happy holiday to all Serbs, wherever you are. Long live Srpska, and long live Serbia – Vulin concluded.
