Republika Srpska, which has endured for 33 years under extremely difficult circumstances, has a future, said Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik in his annual interview with RTRS.
Dodik congratulated all citizens of Republika Srpska on Republika Srpska Day.
- Long live Republika Srpska! Long live as it is, under the slogan ‘Born and created to live forever’! I am deeply in love with Republika Srpska, and I live for it. I will never give up on it – Dodik stated.
Founding of Republika Srpska
Dodik emphasized that Republika Srpska was established by its people.
- The people are the founders of Republika Srpska, while we, who sat in Parliament, were merely executors. I believe we have demonstrated our ability, and the people feel that. The results of the local elections show which policies the people support – Dodik said.
Leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina
Dodik declared that he would never accept an anti-constitutional and anti-Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina, describing Srpska’s departure from BiH as a “sacred mission.”
- I believe that I must lead Srpska out of BiH because remaining in BiH with these kinds of Europeans means that in 20 years, there will be no Republika Srpska or Serbs in this region, except for a handful of sycophants. I was elected here to defend Srpska’s constitutional position. I represent Republika Srpska. I advocate for this Republic strictly as stated in the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution, and in no other way – Dodik stressed.
