The Serbian Church Singing Society “Bogoljublje” and the Children’s Church Choir “Javor” held a joint Christmas concert in Doboj.
“Bogoljublje” operates within the Memorial Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Doboj, while the Children’s Choir “Javor” is part of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Doboj.
Archpriest Mirko Nikolić extended holiday greetings to those in attendance and wished them to celebrate Christmas with joy, surrounded by family and people of goodwill.
The conductor of both choirs, Ljubica Timanović, stated that the evening’s repertoire consisted exclusively of Christmas songs, including liturgical, church, spiritual, and children’s festive songs.
The coordinator of the Children’s Choir “Javor”, Deacon Vlado Mojević, mentioned that this was the choir’s third Christmas performance. He added that the choir has recorded three music videos, which are available on their YouTube channel.
According to Mojević, members of “Javor” regularly sing during liturgies and participate in humanitarian and other concerts both in Doboj and other local communities.
The concert was held in the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.
