The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, emphasized that the trial against the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is politically motivated and initiated by foreign embassies, led by the U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Murphy, with the goal of eliminating Srpska.
Višković stated that Murphy has transferred his personal frustrations with Republika Srpska and its president into judicial proceedings, targeting individuals who belong to only one ethnic group—Bosniaks.
“Murphy wants to create chaos before leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is obsessed with Republika Srpska and Milorad Dodik. Those who communicate with him say he is irrationally fixated on this matter and is pushing for a quick resolution. To achieve this, he needs compliant judges and prosecutors,” said Višković during an interview with SRNA.
He highlighted that the judiciary is being filled with Bosniak judges, prosecutors, and even expert witnesses to meet the desired outcomes.
Višković pointed out that Dodik underwent surgery performed by leading experts in gastroenterology, including academician Predrag Peško.
“I saw Dodik several times after the surgery. He lost weight and must follow strict post-operative procedures,” Višković stated.
He emphasized the seriousness of the surgery, which involved the esophagus and stomach, and criticized the selection of Haris Vranić as an expert witness—describing him as a member of a political party who has made inflammatory remarks against Dodik.
“Vranić even publicly commented on the case before the scheduled hearing, which violates legal procedures,” Višković noted.
The Prime Minister condemned Vranić for undermining the credibility of Dodik’s medical team and called it unethical for a lower-ranked medical expert to evaluate the work of higher authorities.
“They found someone who served in the so-called Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war, and it was obvious that he would write what the Court of BiH wanted—directed by Murphy. Murphy wants this case resolved quickly so he can leave satisfied, believing he has eliminated Dodik and Srpska,” said Višković.
Višković reminded the public that the Court of BiH has long-standing cases involving more severe crimes, but these are being delayed without urgency.
“This is not a traffic violation case. It is a political process against the President of Republika Srpska. The president must sign laws and acts passed by the National Assembly, and now they are prosecuting officials for following proper procedures,” Višković emphasized.
He concluded that this case is not just about Milorad Dodik as an individual but about defending the institutions and constitutional framework of Republika Srpska.
“It is my duty to support President Dodik and do everything to defend the institutions of Republika Srpska,” Višković said.
