The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Banja Luka, Ranko Škrbić, stated that the expertise provided by Dr. Haris Vranić regarding the medical documentation of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, was extremely irresponsible, unprofessional, and unethical.
“Such behavior is completely unacceptable for a professional. It is evident that he was politically influenced and driven by his own political motives,” Škrbić emphasized for Srna.
He added that Vranić displayed a certain level of animosity, which, in his opinion, is unacceptable for someone who has graduated from medical school and declares themselves a humanitarian.
“Afterwards, experts from the General Hospital ‘Primarius Dr. Abdulah Nakaš’ in Sarajevo came to examine the President, review the documentation, and demonstrated a high level of professionalism. I was present during the examination and can confirm that they performed their duties professionally and objectively,” Škrbić stated.
He highlighted that the doctors from Sarajevo treated the President of Srpska with respect and showed a clear intention to produce an impartial and objective report.
The medical expert, Haris Vranić, appointed by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, had earlier expressed the opinion that President Dodik was fit to continue the trial.
However, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina subsequently obtained a multidisciplinary evaluation from a six-member team of doctors from the General Hospital “Primarius Dr. Abdulah Nakaš” in Sarajevo, who concluded that Milorad Dodik is not medically fit to travel between Banja Luka and Sarajevo, attend the trial, or follow its proceedings for six weeks after surgery.
