The children’s New Year celebration took place at Major Zoran Karlica Square in Prijedor, where 1,300 New Year gift packages were distributed to the youngest citizens.
Acting Head of the Department for Culture, International Cooperation, Sports, and Non-Governmental Organizations, Aleksandar Milješić, stated that, with the support of Mayor Slobodan Javor, a record number of 1,300 packages were provided for children.
Milješić emphasized that the event aimed to celebrate the upcoming holidays with the children who attended the celebration.
“We wished them all the best in 2025. The City Administration and all of us will continue working to make life in our city better, more comfortable, and more beautiful,” Milješić told reporters.
He also noted that New Year packages were delivered to children currently undergoing hospital treatment.
The New Year program for children featured Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, along with performances by members of the “Neven” Association, Hana Okić, Miljana and Maša Gašić, Maša Đikić, Kalina Odicki, Tijana Tripić, and members of the drama school “Kike-tačke.”
This event is part of the “Prijedorska zima 2024” program.
