The municipality of Višegrad will organize a seven-day stay in June next year for 25 children from Kosovo and Metohija, announced today the president of the Committee for Assistance to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Milorad Arlov, during his visit to Višegrad.
Arlov, following his meeting with the mayor of Višegrad, Mladen Đurević, highlighted that Višegrad has had positive experiences hosting children in the past, especially during the central reception, which was excellently organized.
“I believe that the children from Kosovo and Metohija who come here will feel welcome. We are planning their arrival on either June 15 or June 22, depending on the end of the school year,” Arlov stated.
He expressed gratitude to the mayor for the warm reception and the decision for Višegrad to participate in the 13th project, “Connecting Children from Kosovo and Metohija with Republika Srpska.”
Arlov also noted that his visit to Višegrad is part of his humanitarian journey from Banja Luka through Sokolac, Višegrad, Raška, and Jarinje, which concludes tomorrow with a significant humanitarian aid delivery to children in Kosovo and Metohija.
Višegrad’s mayor, Mladen Đurević, expressed satisfaction with hosting the children from Kosovo and Metohija, emphasizing that this initiative fosters lasting friendships.
In addition to Višegrad, children from Kosovo and Metohija will also visit Gradiška, Prijedor, Šamac, Zvornik, Trebinje, Kozarska Dubica, and Foča.
