The president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, confirmed that he received a request from the Prosecutor’s Office yesterday morning regarding the Assembly session, which included discussions on undermining the legal system in Bosnia and Herzegovina through violations of the Dayton Peace Agreement. He stated that he responded to the request last night.
- “Fear and paranoia about Republika Srpska reign in Sarajevo. I regret that the Prosecutor’s Office reacted to matters beyond its jurisdiction. Decisions made by deputies, regardless of their nature, do not fall under the authority of the Prosecutor’s Office,” said Stevandić.
He emphasized that interference in the work of legislative bodies represents a violation of the constitutional order and pointed out that deputies have immunity.
- “Decisions made in parliament can only be interpreted by the Constitutional Court. Anything else is an attack on the constitutional order,” Stevandić concluded.
